Climbing Elements - Categories
One of the largest sets of playground equipment is "climbing elements" - I've decided to divide this into a few smaller sets.
-
578 ClimberA unique climbing structure in Park 578.
-
ABC ClimberAn inclined plane with the raised letters A B and C.
-
Alternating Half Circle LadderIt's a half circle ladder but the sides keep switching. Or - to put it another way - two vertical poles with half circle arcs as steps and the arcs alternate sides.
-
Angled Rope Net LadderA climbing element made of rope where the two legs start at the ground and converge at the platform; there are several horizontal ropes as well.
-
Arched ClimberA standalone element consisting of two semicircular metal arches anchored in the ground with parallel metal rungs between the arches.
-
Arched Climber with RopesTwo metal arches connected by ropes with ropes suspended vertically from the arch to the ground; these vertical copes have discs or small spheres.
-
Bean PolesA climbing structure with a three poles; each pole has circular steps.
-
Beanstalk StepsA climbing structure with a single central pole and steps alternating on each side.
-
Bent LadderA ladder with the outer support poles set aligned perpendicular to the platform that curve upward.
-
Black Belt Jungle GymA unique play structure at Bartelme Park, this consists of a a belt made of black rubber crafted into a wavy bridge and a three dimensional jungle gym structure.
-
Black Hole ClimberA climbing element consisting of vertical metal poles supporting ropes and black belt circles in layers; each black belt circle has a hole cut from the middle to facilitate climbing.
-
BloqxA geometric solid with pentagonal faces and rock climbing holds.
These are climbing elements that are primarily vertical.
-
Canoe-Shaped Shape Void PanelA canoe-shaped panel with voids shaped like common shapes.
-
Rocky Steps 3A climbing element that looks like rocks or boulders.
-
Rocky Steps 2A climbing element that looks like rocks.
-
Spider Web LadderA rope net climbing element with two anchors in the ground and a tangle of ropes connected to a raised platform.
-
Chain Link LadderA ladder that looks like the links of a chain
-
Metal Stair Step LadderThis ladder looks like stairs steps...made of metal...that zigzag up from the ground to a platform. Hard to describe, I guess!
-
Triangle Net with Rope Net Tube LadderThe bottom is a triangular cargo net supported by three posts with a vertical climbing net in the middle of each face.
-
Single Step LadderLooks like the mast and a sail of a sailing ship. If the sail was just an outline of metal with a single foot step at the bottom. Attached to a playground. So really nothing like a mast and a sail of a sailing ship. My bad.
-
Curving Red Net LadderMade of a red plastic net, this ladder curves its way from the ground to the platform.
-
Double Squiggle LadderApparently a squiggle pole and another squiggle pole together make a double squiggle ladder. It's got S-shaped squiggles on two planes. Snakes on (two) planes!
-
Alternating Half Circle LadderIt's a half circle ladder but the sides keep switching. Or - to put it another way - two vertical poles with half circle arcs as steps and the arcs alternate sides.
-
Angled Rope Net LadderA climbing element made of rope where the two legs start at the ground and converge at the platform; there are several horizontal ropes as well.
Traverse
-
Angled Triangle Cargo NetA triangular cargo net set at an angle between three posts.
-
Cloud TraverseA standalone traverse element created by a lower support beam with rounded stairstep supports angled toward a central pole and an upper support beam set at the same angle.
-
Double Dip TraverseA metal traverse element with two parallel metal beams that each have one dip in them.
-
Double TraverseA metal traverse element with two beams; the lower beams zigs and zags in a stairstep pattern and the upper beam is straight. Both angle upward.
-
Four Level Rope Net Tangle under Two ArchesA large, standalone rope/net climbing element with two metal arches forming the main structure. Inside that structure are four levels created by rope netting and a few panels with voids.
-
Freestanding Ladder with PatternIt's a ladder with a pattern and it's freestanding.
-
Geometric Metal TraverseA traverse element made of two metal horizontal pieces that are somewhat jagged geometric shaped that are mirrored reflections of the other.
-
Horizontal LadderA ladder that is horizontal (coplanar and perpendicular to the ground). It's also not wavy.
-
Horizontal Wavy LadderA climbing element that looks like a horizontal ladder with waves.
-
KOMPAN Twisted Traverse ElementThis standalone collection of elements defies easy description but consists of several unique elements that connect together to form a challenge traverse element.
-
KOMPAN Twisted Traverse Element 2A collection of play elements. The general shape is an arc and there are lots of ropes with discs and spheres, a green seat swing, and a curved climbing wall.
-
Large Metal TraverseA large, freestanding climbing element featuring coplanar metal tubes.
Net
-
Angled Rope Net LadderA climbing element made of rope where the two legs start at the ground and converge at the platform; there are several horizontal ropes as well.
-
Angled Triangle Cargo NetA triangular cargo net set at an angle between three posts.
-
Arched Climber with RopesTwo metal arches connected by ropes with ropes suspended vertically from the arch to the ground; these vertical copes have discs or small spheres.
-
Belt Bridge with Rope SupportsA large bridge element consisting of a black belt bottom with vertical climbing nets on the sides.
-
Black Hole ClimberA climbing element consisting of vertical metal poles supporting ropes and black belt circles in layers; each black belt circle has a hole cut from the middle to facilitate climbing.
-
Bowtie Twisted Net ClimberA large element with a cargo net 'twisted' between two platforms and supported by two support beams that 'cross' in the middle; looks like a bowtie from the side.
-
Climbing Cabin with SlideA moderate sized, standalone net climbing structure with curving triangular faces and wood 'cladding' the resembles a cabin. There are a few internal climbing elements and a single metal slide.
-
Egg-Shaped, Spinning, Climbing NetWhat's shaped like an egg, can spin around a central pole, and is made of rope netting? This playground element!
-
Ewok's VillageA multifacted climbing structure consisting of multiple elements.
-
Four Flat Net ClimberA large, standalone net climbing structure created by two intersecting metal arches with four levels of cargo netting and some vertical support ropes.
-
Four Level Rope Net Tangle under Two ArchesA large, standalone rope/net climbing element with two metal arches forming the main structure. Inside that structure are four levels created by rope netting and a few panels with voids.
-
Four Mast Net Climbing StructureA net climbing element created by rope netting connecting four vertical posts with a circular black belt seat in the center.
